How to install Netmeeting 3.0.1 on Windows Vista

Note: NetMeeting will not work with Windows Vista laptops with a built-in webcam. Please install an external webcam in order for NetMeeting to work. We are currently working on finding a solution for Windows Vista laptops with build-in webcams. Thank you for your patience.

Click the blue arrow to download NetMeeting 3.01 and save it onto your desktop.

1. Right click on the NM30.exe file and click on Properties.

2. A new window will appear. Locate the "Compatibility" tab and click on it.

3. Click on the Checkbox before "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

Click on the drop down arrow and select Windows 98 / Windows Me. (Do not select Windows XP (Service Pack 2). The installation will not work if you select the XP option.)

Click on OK.

4. Double click on the NM30.exe file to install the program.

5. Click on Run.

6. Click on Yes.

7. Click on Yes.

8. Click on OK.

9. Click on OK.

To configure NetMeeting 3.0.1 for usage:

10. Double click on the NetMeeting icon on the desktop.

11. Click on Next.

12. Fill in all of the fields with your information. Then click on Next.

13. Optional: Uncheck "Log on to a directory server when NetMeeting Starts" and check "Do not list my name in the directory." Click on Next. (You may leave it as it is, if the user wishes.)

14. Select your network connection type and lick on Next.

15. It is not required to have shortcuts on the desktop and the quick launch bar since the CSDVRS website will automatically open NetMeeting when you begin a web call. This is optional, to have both checked. Uncheck both options if you will only use NetMeeting on the CSDVRS website. Click on Next.

16. Next will be the audio settings, click on Next through this last part of configurations.

17. Click on Next.

18. Click on Next.

19. Click on Next.

20. Click on Finish.

NetMeeting is now installed and configured on your Windows Vista machine. Please go to www.csdvrs.com and perform a test web call to ensure connectivity works.
